My Weather Girl
My wife Pat loves watching the weather reports on the TV. A long time ago I wrote a song called, 'I'm at one with the weather man' in reference to this. This particular song starts from the same idea - and is a partner for the original song. The music reflects the styles of the blues pickers I was in awe of when I was a teenager.
Words and music by Jim Byrne
You pulled me up by my bootstraps honey
You knew I needed some sunshine
You stopped the rain and you blew the clouds away
My weather girls going to make it fine
Oooh Oooh my weathergirl is going to make it fine
I was feeling mighty down
Weather front was moving in
I needed to hear the music that you play to me
Now you’re every season your every rain or shine
You’re my winter and my summertime
Oooh Oooh your my winter and my summertime
Now you’re every season you're every rain or shine
You’re my winter and my summertime
